Soon after the release of Xposed Framework for Android Oreo, developers have released the GravityBox for Android Oreo 8.0 and 8.1 updates. Hence, you can take customization to the next level by modifying everything on your smartphone. The GravityBox module has been tested successfully on Nexus 5X running stock Android 8.0 and 8.1 Oreo. And so, you can simply install GravityBox on your Android Oreo running smartphone.

GravityBox is one the best open source module for the Xposed framework. It has been packed with plenty of beautiful features like new lock screen, display, phone app, status bar, navigation bar, and power menu, GravityBox Actions, as well as quick settings tile management, notification controls, fingerprint launcher, and much more. Note: Currently, GravityBox module is available as a beta, the similar procedure can be followed to install the stable GravityBox on Android Oreo. Also, note that GravityBox will work greatly on AOSP or stock based ROMs. Well, Samsung TouchWiz, HTC Sense, MIUI, LeWa, Xperia, and Lenovo are not guaranteed to support this module.

Before heading to the process, make sure that you have installed Xposed Framework on Android Oreo Device.

Step #1. First of all, enable Unknown Sources option by heading to Setting → Security → switch the toggle to turn on Unknown Sources.

Step #2. Download GravityBox APK file for Android 8.0 and 8.1 Oreo and install it.

Step #3. Once you install it, you will get a notification from Xposed Installer that says “Xposed module is not activated yet”. Just tap on that message and check the box next to Gravity Box.

Step #4. Now reboot your device to activate Gravity Box.

Step #5. After your device has been rooted. Open the Gravity Box app, allow permission and then tap on “ Ok , I Got It.” to continue.

You’re done! Now you can see there are several options available to make some tweaks on your smartphone. Well, it has a user-friendly interface like previous modules. So, if you are already familiar with previous GravityBox modules, then you can easily make some tweaks and make the device your own.
